Thermal Management of Large Cells

Understanding thermal behavior is essential for the safe and efficient design of large battery cells, modules, and packs. The iso-BTC+ enables detailed thermal analysis under both normal operating conditions and non abusive scenarios such as mild overcharging.

Accurate data helps avoid insufficient thermal management, which can lead to safety risks, as well as excessive thermal management, which can increase system cost, size, and complexity. The iso-BTC+ supports informed decision making in battery design, thermal management system development, and optimization of operating conditions.

Thermal mapping capabilities identify localized regions of increased heat generation, enabling targeted thermal management strategies. The data can also be used in thermal propagation modeling to predict behavior in large, high power battery systems with complex geometries.

Characterize Cell Performance
